This is a 19th-century Bidri art hookah base, an exquisite example of traditional Indian metal craftsmanship. Originating from Bidar, Karnataka, Bidriware is known for its intricate silver inlay work on a dark, zinc alloy base. This particular hookah base features finely engraved floral and geometric motifs, showcasing the delicate artistry of the period. Such pieces were both functional and decorative, often used by nobility and aristocracy in Mughal and Deccan courts.
