Margart Talbot (nee Bearchand) Countess of Shrewsbury (1404 – 1467) wife of 1st Earl of Shrewsbury. Publish 1810. This engraved portrait depicts the Countess of Shrewsbury, a noblewoman of the 17th century known for her presence at the English court. She is portrayed with soft curls cascading over her shoulders, adorned with pearl earrings and necklace, and draped in fine fabrics with ornamental detail. Her calm expression and stately bearing reflect aristocratic elegance. The work is based on a painting by Sir Peter Lely and skillfully engraved by E.
