This is a 19th-century Bidri art Khanjar (curved dagger), an exquisite weapon from the Deccan region, richly adorned with the iconic silver inlay work of Bidriware. The hilt and sheath are intricately decorated with floral and foliate motifs, showcasing the fine craftsmanship of Bidri artisans. The curved blade, now aged and oxidized, still retains traces of gilding near the forte. Traditionally carried by nobility, such daggers were symbols of status and artistry, blending martial utility with ornamental elegance.
