France Brooks Died on 1690, Married sir Thomas Whitmore (1643 – 1682). Published 1810. This elegant portrait engraving features Miss Brooks, who later became Lady Whitmore. She is depicted with flowing curls, adorned with a string of pearls, and gracefully posed with one hand resting on her chest. Her attire and styling reflect the refined beauty of the 17th century. The portrait is after a painting by Sir Peter Lely and engraved with fine detail by E. Scriven.
