“THE FAITHS IN THE WORLD”. A dictionary of all religions and their religious sects. by The Rev. James Gardner. This is a historical engraving titled “Mosque of Abdaool Rabeim Khan, Ferozepore, Hindostan.” The scene depicts a mosque complex with intricate Mughal-style architecture, including tall minarets and arched entrances. In the foreground, people and animals are shown going about daily activities, offering a glimpse of life in colonial-era India. The engraving was drawn by W. F. Starling and engraved by Finden, and published by A. Fullarton & Co., London & Edinburgh. It reflects the British interest in documenting and romanticizing Indian architecture during the 19th century.
