This traditional Nathdwara-style painting vividly portrays the Govardhan Puja celebration, a key event in Vaishnavite devotion. At the center is Shri Nathji, a form of Lord Krishna, standing under a decorated canopy, adorned with rich garments and jewelry. Devotees are seen offering reverence with folded hands. Below, the Govardhan Hill, depicted as a large, stylized mound made of sweets and food offerings, signifies the Annakut festival. Surrounding it are scenes of Krishna lifting the Govardhan Hill to protect villagers and cows, and groups of gopis (female devotees) carrying offerings. The artwork is rich in symbolic detail and vibrant in color, celebrating divine protection, abundance, and communal devotion.
