This is an old engraved portrait of William Pitt the Younger, a famous British Prime Minister. He is shown standing in formal robes with one hand resting on papers, suggesting his role in government. The artwork is surrounded by decorative figures—on the left is a woman with a scroll and quill (symbolizing knowledge), and on the right is a woman with a spear and shield (symbolizing strength or Britannia). The engraving was published by John Tallis & Company, and the paper shows brown spots from age, known as foxing, which is common in old prints.
