London, published for the proprietors by gen Geo. Virtue, 26, Ivy Lame, 1836. This dramatic engraving captures the powerful cascade of Caldron Linn, a striking waterfall set within a rocky gorge in Perthshire, Scotland. Surrounded by dense woodland and towering cliffs, the water crashes into the pool below, creating a luminous mist. Tiny human figures scattered throughout the scene emphasize the awe-inspiring scale of the landscape. The artwork is after a drawing by T. Allom and engraved by J. T. Willmore, published by Geo. Virtue in 1836.
