Miss Jennings France Talbot [Nee Jenyns (Jennings)] Duchess of Tryconnel (formerly Lady Hamilton) (Circa 1648 – 1731), famous beauty. Former Wife of Sir George Hamilton, and Later Wife of 1st Duke of Tryconnel. Publish 1810. This finely detailed engraving depicts Miss Jennings, a historical figure from the 17th century, portrayed with elegance and poise. She is shown wearing a richly textured garment, adorned with pearl jewelry including earrings and a necklace. Her curled hair is styled in the fashion of the period. The engraving, executed by E. Scriven after an original by Sir Peter Lely, reflects the refined portraiture style typical of Lely’s courtly representations.
